The queen reaches an astonishing 28 mm, making her one of the largest known Camponotus queens in the world. Workers also grow to 18–20 mm, displaying clear polymorphism with powerful majors that command attention. Colonies are calm but strong, developing steadily under warm, humid conditions and preferring wooden or naturalistic nest setups.
